<3 El Rodeo <3

Hey guys,
I am sorry I wasn't writing in the last few weeks, that's the result of being very bussy in socialising :D
So now to El Rodeo.....:
When I arrived here in Catamarca everybody was going crazy when he heared the name El Rodeo and on my first day in school they told me that, this is the best weekend you will have here in Argentina. And my classmates told me, that i was not allowed to miss out...!
My first thought was:" What the hell is this El Rodeo? It can't be that special!" It turned out to be the best 4days i have had since I arrived here in Argentina.
Facts: El Rodeo is 40km from San Fernando, many people have a house there for summerholidays or just for this week( La semana de los estudiantes)! It has a boliche(disco) named LA PACHANGA.
That's it with the facts....now to what happened this weekend..:D

It started on Friday the 18th of September, 2009.
I went with Esters(girl from the Netherlands) hostfamily to El Rodeo, because they invited me to stay there with them. In the evening we were invited to eat an ASADO with the girls from Esters class. We went to a huge house up on the hill with a stunning view over El Rodeo. At around 1.30 30 people including Ester and myself were walking in the middle of the street aiming for the disco. All the girls were shouting some things and singing songs, so you could hear them all over town..;) As we arrived at the disco there was a very long queue in in front of it...waiting to enter. As we finally managed to enter the disco was crowed. In addition 12 or 13 years old kids were in the boliche totally drunk....I mean there you ask yourself what the hell is the youth protection doing in this country...? The music was very different from the music I am used to dance to in Austria. So, it was quite boring for the Europeans and Americans. But, it was still nice to see that everybody had a good time and was enjoying themselves. You could look in every single face and they would smile at you, just because they are so happy..:D Now the funny part: Ester, Lautaro and I wanted to get some fresh air so we went outside for some minutes, but it turned out we couldn't reenter. So at 4.45 we were walking to our house and went to bed at around 6 in the morning.
Saturday I woke up with lunch. We ate lunch and went to a friend's house for playing PINGPONG and being with friends. I enjoyed every minute of not being in San Fernando just having a good time and not thinking about what I have to do or anything. We just let it go for some hours. In the evening we met at another house. Had some chorizo and bread (choripan) and at around 3.30 we were ready to go to the disco. We entered the disco at around 3.45 and it was a total mess. The music was total grape and we left the disco after 90minutes. Before going to the disco we were in such a mood for dancing and having fun, but it was exactly the other way round. Amazing what stupid music you can play and in the 90minutes so song repeated twice...:/
Now to my favourite day. Sunday......:D

We woke up with the smell of ASADO. Then ate asado and after lunch headed for a friends house. There we decided to go horse riding...I know it sounds weird....David and horse riding is like black and white...?! But it turned out to be really cool. Riding horses in the middle of Argentina with sun shining in one's face and the little breeze you get from the speed of the horse.....marvelous ! At 3 we entered the LA PACHANGA. It turned out to be a whole lot of fun. The music was better, we had more space to dance and the people were all in a good mood
Everybody was partying and dancing as much as he could, because we knew it was our last day of our first and only SEMANA DE LOS ESTUDIANTES. At around 6 we left the disco and didn't go home.....no we went to another house to let this day die away in a very nice way. Actually the day wasn't as perfect as writen here, because another story happened , but I am not gonna write this in here.
Monday at around 5 we left el Rodeo in direction San Fernando. After 40 minutes in car, i arrived at my appartment and that's the story of El Rodeo.

el Rodeo, this name is tradition, this name stands for fiesta, this name tells you to come home at 6, this name is a fact and this name represents the time of my life......!

So, thanks for reading...:D

I hope everything is fine back home. :D

Chao,

your David Derndorfer <3
